Flu Shot Learning

Project information

The primary purpose of this project is to elucidate and critique the development of classification models predicting vaccination rates as well as answer two questions showing how the behavioral trends of individuals and groups influence their decision not to accept the H1N1 and Seasonal flu vaccines. Since vaccines are an effective way to hinder the spread of infectious diseases, understanding the reasons behind people's refusal to get them could be utilized to drive their acceptance.

Overall, this project successfully achieved all the predefined objectives, with XGBoost achieving the high performance accuracy of 85%, alongside providing a deeper understanding of the causations of vaccine refusal. As a result, this provides a foundation to further research that could benefit the medical field
